UNEQUAL ARE WE ALL

We harp upon equality,
As if it were quite evident;
It never was so meant to be,
All vary to a great extent.

Some tall, some short, some strong, some weak,
Some well, some sick, some fast, some slow;
Some lack for words with which to speak,
But all of us some skills don't know.

Unequal is the human race,
The differences quite evident;
The lack of talent no disgrace,
Into this world we thus were sent.

We can but do the best we can,
No more, no less should we expect;
Our lives may be pedestrian,
Yet all our skills we should perfect.
