YOUTHFUL CERTAINTY

Oh you in teens who know so much,
Who put your elders to such shame;
For all the problems of the world
You make these elders bear all blame.

Solutions you make glib and sure,
No problems that you can't resolve;
All others who have lived before,
In foolish circles did revolve.

But you can see the answers clear,
You'll soon have righted every wrong;
With logic you won't understand,
Those elders sang that self same song.
