Will welfare cross the great divide,
Will people at its size rebel?
Will we so many tots abide,
Is there a way to problems quell?

Will we allow a child to die,
If parenthood we can't control?
Will we not hear when children cry,
How much relief can we enrol?

The problem will not go away,
The poor assert their right to breed;
Can we afford to long delay,
What if too many mouths to feed?
