BEAUTIFUL POETRY

In poetry the senses swim,
So stimulated by a phrase;
It satisfies a poet's whim,
But serves to many lovers craze.

Succinct is weighty message sent,
Appealing to the heart and mind;
No extra words need e'er be spent,
The reader hears the thought designed.

In rhyme and meter, words resound,
By magic do in mind repeat;
In love and beauty are they crowned,
No other form can e'er compete.

In rhythm do the phrases sing,
A paradise of harmony;
Such joy to every reader bring,
To lover's hearts especially.
