WHEN IS RELIGION JUST A CULT

WHEN IS RELIGION JUST A CULT?
Religion will become a cult,
With uniformity its norm;
So smug and sure is the result,
All others it must then reform.
It stresses love and brotherhood,
Restriction is its daily fare;
It promises it's for their good,
With rules that oft are hard to bear.
It dominates each lifelong day,
Prescribing what each one should do;
With hours and mantras each must pray,
Their own beliefs they will imbue.
They keep their members well employed,
They make them live within a code;
No ounce of freedom is enjoyed,
Like clones they live in their abode.
They would indoctrinate the young,
Parading every human fault;
So many mantras daily sung,
Will oft the very truth assault.
