A HELPING HAND

A HELPING HAND
We each can do a little good,
As members of our brotherhood;
We do not have too far to look,
To find someone whom fate forsook.
So many heartsick, aching souls,
Astray from all their human goals;
Bereft of tears and full of fears,
We find them struggling through their years.
A helping hand, a friendly ear,
With sympathy seen as sincere;
A little love we all can share,
For people living in despair.
