PATIENCE FOR PATIENTS
The woes of mankind still appal,
Despite the growth of medicine,
In vain on doctors do we call,
Although their care is genuine.
There still are mysteries in man,
Both mind and body still confuse;
The doctors do whate'er they can,
But many battles they still lose.
Although they do each illness treat,
And many weapons do them aid;
It's years before they some ills beat,
And man's impatient I'm afraid.
