A TEMPORARY STAY

A TEMPORARY STAY
The headlines scream, the news is grim,
But life continues at its pace;
The Earth's destruction just by whim,
One button can destroy our race.
Disasters strike us far and wide,
No area is found immune;
There truly is no place to hide,
The only question is how soon.
So temporary is our stay,
So fleeting is our history,
For health and happiness we pray,
With no assurance both will be.
So treasure each and every day,
Make happy all your kin and friends;
All kindness hasten to repay,
Because all life on Earth soon ends.
