BY CONSCIENCE BOUND

A conscience never sets one free,
Though muffled it will oft fight through;
When we commit an infamy,
The act we soon begin to rue.

Some consciences are far advanced,
>From these we never get relief;
Our lives are never found enhanced,
By causing others years of grief.

Some people seem of conscience free,
But it is but a big pretense;
In fear await their penalty,
Afraid their Karma ne'er relents.
