WHAT TO READ

Too many books from which to choose,
Their titles pleading to be read;
But yet perforce some titles lose,
As by our int'rests are we led.

Too oft we choose by accident,
One word in title will control;
And by some bias are we bent,
True reasons often are quite droll.

So many books we'll never read,
The list grows greater every day;
Anxiety this should not breed,
For longer life we'll need to pray.
