MID-EAST SUSPICIONS
The Mid-East is agog again,
Suspicion killing many men;
Until the hatreds fade away,
They both continue foes to slay.
The memories of both are keen,
With neither having hands too clean;
But still they should each one forgive,
If only so their children live.
Suspicion must at first be lost,
As each reviews the human cost;
Together they must strive for peace,
For only then will warfare cease.
