A NEW LANGUAGE
There once were few, like NBC,
Now acronyms I daily spot;
They now are overwhelming me,
My learning curve is not so hot.
AA we all can understand,
It is an old and tested friend;
Then AAA soon joined the band,
And now these letters never end.
Along comes ASPCA,
And others seem to be too tough;
So now I have to daily pray,
That soon someone will cry enough!
They're getting more like cryptograms,
One must decipher every code;
I volunteer to build a dam,
In truth, the words have overflowed.
