WHAT LIES BEYOND - A NEW DIMENSION

Is there a future to our lives,
Does wishful thinking lead us all?
We're told in Heaven one survives,
But scientists don't hear its call.

So oft we seem to find a hint,
Are ghosts and seances all fakes?
Of afterlife there is a glint,
Do all observers make mistakes?

Houdini vowed he would attempt
To get a message to his wife;
And though his wife has often dreamt,
No sign of him in after-life.

There may be facts to understand,
Communication may be hard;
Not possible at one's command,
At times the channels may be barred.

Some people claim to know their past,
Such evidence gives many hope;
But scientists these stories blast,
So for true answers we must hope.

If only we could prove just one
That skeptics could accept as true,
With all our doubts we would be done,
And life could end in rosy hue.
