A NEW INQUISITION

A NEW INQUISITION

The inquisition still goes on,
As Starr still tries to prove his point;
He thinks the public he can con,
His nose is often out of joint.

The role he took four years ago,
Became his new life long career;
His venom he does often show,
As nation's funds fast disappear.

No mercy do we ever see,
As mother should on daughter squeal;
His reasons are so shadowy,
To none can victims now appeal.

Objections he does override,
With innuendo does he fight;
His prejudice he tries to hide,
But oh so anxious to indict.

All motives he must well review,
And every doubt puts on display;
As his vendetta he'll pursue,
The while he makes the public pay.

What diff'rence does a sex scene make,
All leaders have been shown the same;
It does not make a nation quake,
So tidbits should bring Starr to shame.

It's time to issue his report,
To tell the facts that he has gleaned;
With proofs that would stand up in court,
With all the innuendos cleaned.

Full forty million has he spent,
Much more does he still contemplate;
New projects he will still invent,
Judicial zeal has turned to hate.

The Salem witches he still seeks,
So many were by gossip hanged;
Again there are too many leaks,
So Mister Starr should be defanged.

I'll probably get the usual hate mail for this poem.
