PATRIOTISM
Our nation right or wrong, we're told,
Its policies we must uphold;
But on its face it's ludicrous,
These might offend the most of us.
A war of conquest we'd oppose,
Or if some Faiths they chose to close;
We answer to a higher law,
Man made ideas may have a flaw.
Some minor diff'rence we'd ignore,
But when convictions do much more,
We must speak up and disagree,
Or else our nation won't be free.
But still a small minority,
Can not impose its verity;
Majority must still prevail,
But Constitution can't derail.
