ETHICS AND PROFITS

When ethics, profit disconnect,
It is the profit we correct;
On all the world we put the blame,
But yet it is a nation's shame.

The regulators fall asleep,
And oft bad company they keep;
The companies are self policed,
At times a palm or two are greased.

The adversaries soon are friends,
Forgetting where their friendship ends;
The fox will soon with chickens lie,
As innocents begin to die.
