FICTION Vs. REALITY

In books we live our fantasies,
Where all emotions are unfurled;
In plot we can our own needs squeeze,
Yet roam in someone else's world.

The tear we shed may be quite real,
The love may well be what we need;
For we react from thoughts we feel,
The story may awake the seed.

The tales that thrill do life portray,
Non breathing souls are brought to life;
A little while we hold at bay,
The world we're in, so full of strife.
