MORE JOY THAN PAIN
In life we find a ton of joy,
We only have to take a look;
If we would happiness deploy,
A little grief we have to brook.
>From sadness we should soon rebound,
Not dwell in caverns of despair;
For true contentment can be found,
Long mourning brings a bitter fare.
A little grief we can't escape,
It's part of every mortal life;
Some do in gloomy blankets drape,
What's normal in this world of strife.
We must all learn to bear our share,
Our neighbor's portion may be more;
Our friends and fam'ly truly care,
Our tales of woe will only bore.
So leave your gloomy world behind,
For mourning oft is overdone;
The bleeding wounds we should rebind,
And find again the sun and fun.
