WHENCE DESTINY
Some people suffer all life long,
Did they in prior lives do wrong?
Who knows whence comes our destiny,
With speculation man is free.
This might explain a life of woe,
Where person's guilt no one can show;
While others with a "silver spoon",
Will sing a very happy tune.
In life we find no equity,
Yet Heaven should impartial be;
And since there's much we do not know,
Opinions shuttle to and fro.
So death may merely be our guide,
To take us to the "other side";
Where we can learn from our mistakes,
And stop producing other's aches.
