HUMAN HOPES AND FEARS

New microbes may one day appear,
An awful bomb may go astray;
Large asteroids we also fear,
So mankind lives from day to day.

Catastrophes may well occur,
But all these fears do not make sense;
Enjoying life they should just spur,
We should not lose our confidence.

Of man should we be most afraid,
The cruelest creature on this Earth;
Too well he's earned this accolade,
Too bad we can't improve his worth.

We hope that time will bring relief,
>From cave men we have come some way;
It's good so many have belief,
And for such change so many pray.
