TO THOSE WHO LOVE

TO THOSE WHO LOVE
The ones we love we often hurt,
At times by just the words we blurt;
Emotions will too oft combust,
Eroding some one else's trust.
We did not mean the words we used,
But still make loved ones feel abused;
For words spilled out we can't take back,
And oft will bring a sea of flack.
For every word in anger spoke,
One hundred more will not revoke;
It always leaves a residue,
A spark that other words renew.
Let's choose our words with utmost care,
If we have love with one to share;
With words we live, with words we die,
We should not make our loved ones cry.
