THE AVERAGE MAN

THE AVERAGE MAN
The average man does not exist,
A fiction by some pollster made;
On such delusion some insist,
This symbol is a little frayed.
We're diff'rent in so many ways,
The physical is evident;
Our diff'rent thoughts do still amaze,
So average we should all resent.
We're not some hardware on a shelf,
Nor berries growing on a vine;
Each one completely is oneself,
None should the lot of us combine.
But still statistics some would use,
Who have a certain axe to grind;
They would our very sense confuse,
By arguments that fool the blind.
