A DOCTOR'S DILEMMA
With quality of life curtailed,
When all known remedies have failed;
Don't keep me artificially,
No favor are you doing me.
With all improved new medicine,
Extending hopeless life's a sin;
You may play God up to a point,
Remember none did you anoint.
So do your best and then relax,
You can't beat all nature's attacks;
There is a Wiser Head above,
Sometimes applying true tough love.
So thanks for all you tried to do,
I still retain respect for you;
If time has come to just pass on,
A new perspective I may don.
