A JIGSAW PUZZLEMENT

We start a puzzle full of hope
The many pieces will take shape;
But soon we find it's hard to cope,
So many pieces will escape.

We sit beneath a glaring light
To follow all designs and curves;
But piece by piece they seem to fight,
The constant battle rattles nerves.

One piece we just resolve to find,
We check each piece so carefully;
We then decide unless we're blind
That piece must surely missing be.

As many pieces fall in place,
Full every piece dissect again;
Again we find there is no trace,
It lives in land of missing men.

But just before the final piece,
Amazingly it does appear;
It seems some devil by caprice,
Had dropped it from the chandelier.
