ANCIENT UFOs

So many eons have now past,
It boggles mind, this time so vast;
But many questions still arise,
What did they see, those ancient eyes?

In Holy texts and epic poem,
No matter where folks called their home,
So many visions did they claim,
Amazingly almost the same.

Were all illusions of the mind,
Or are the pundits merely blind?
Recorded in man's history,
Consistency may be the key.

Did ancients draw an astronaut? 
A strong resemblance paintings caught;
Describing what seem UFOs,
A view the scientists oppose.

When added to the sightings now,
Can we some likely truth allow?
What people see around our globe,
Perhaps should lead to worldwide probe.
