ACCEPTANCE OF DEATH

Each living thing on Earth must die,
But only humans question why;
For flowers glory will arise,
Then beauty fades before our eyes.

All animals accept their death,
Give up before their dying breath;
Yet humans will deny, delay,
And rarely Faith will ease their way.

New flowers ever are reborn,
At first they seem to be forlorn;
But soon their glory reaches heights,
Once more among nature's delights.

Do man and beast to life return,
Do ancient mem'ries in them churn?
A wishful thought throughout each age,
Each life a chapter on a page.
