THE STATE Vs THE MEDFLY

Medfly demise is what they sought,
They spray and spray, it seems for naught;
The zone gets wider every day,
The medfly must enjoy the spray.

Complaints, complaints come pouring in,
The sprayers swear they do no sin;
But yet precautions must we take,
The medfly laughs till his sides ache.

Of malathion we've our fill,
Some fish and wildlife it will kill;
Our lakes and ground it has to taint,
The medfly still makes no complaint.
