OUR DYING CELLS

OUR DYING CELLS
Our cells keep dying every day,
And yet our entity exists;
The laws of nature we obey,
Yet personality persists.
We do not lose our trend of thought,
Although some brain cells disappear;
A human soul our God has wrought,
Of death we therefor should not fear.
In sleep our minds still function well,
In vivid dreams some problems solved;
We feel no loss from dying cell,
Our thought process remains involved.
So when all cells we do slough off,
And let decaying body go;
Why do all non believers scoff,
Our minds at peace may better grow.
All ancient wisdom speaks of God,
In every corner of our Earth;
Philosophers now under sod,
To Deity have given birth.
The skeptics say it's man desire,
To give some purpose to his life;
But in our veins there's too much fire,
So our beliefs will bring much strife.
